Ma's Restaurant

One of my favorite places for delicious Chinese food. Definitely worth going back to. I see why this place has a lot of positive reviews.

Went there for lunch w/ a friend. I had high hopes based on the reviews and the Chinese / Muslim sounded interesting. It was a big let down. I got the assorted vegetable lunch special which came w/ sweet & sour soup. The soup was lukewarm and blaaaand, the "sweet and sour" part was non existent. I forced down the tepid mucilage and crossed my fingers on the main dish. Again luke warm and bland! Are they trying to save on gas and spices???My friend ordered the Spicy Beef. I don't know what it tasted like but the beef was swimming in a puddle of orange oil. He only ate half of it.For an appetizer, we got the Cheese Crab Cake. It was filled w/ kind of ricotta cheese. The cheese taste was ample but no crab taste.Perhaps they had an off day but I won't be taking a gamble on getting stellar food on the second time around.

Consistently flavorful Chinese food with many vegetarian options. Always filled with business folks at noontime and families at any time for good reason. Parking is sometimes difficult.
